Privacy Policy

Overview
GratGPT (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website at gratgpt.com.
Data Collection
Client-Side Processing: All tools on GratGPT process data entirely within your web browser. We do not send, store, or transmit any input you provide (passwords, names, calculations, etc.) to our servers. Your tool inputs remain on your device.
Server Logs: Our hosting provider may automatically log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, and access time, for security and reliability purposes. These logs are not used to identify individuals and are typically retained only briefly.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data about your visit:
- Google AdSense: Displays advertisements on our pages. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to GratGPT and other websites. This may include your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing behavior. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or learn more at Google Ad Policies.
- Google Analytics (GA4): Helps us understand how visitors use the site (page views, session duration, country, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies and may process your IP address. We have IP anonymization enabled. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Free Dictionary API: The Word Descrambler tool may query this public API to display word definitions. Only the individual word is sent, never your full input.
- Exchange Rate API: The Unit Converter uses this public API for live currency rates. No personal data is transmitted.
Cookies & Tracking
GratGPT itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. However, the third-party services listed above (Google AdSense and Google Analytics) may place cookies on your device to provide their services.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impact the functionality of some advertisements but will not affect the core tools.
Local Storage
Some tools use your browser's local storage to remember preferences (e.g., favorite unit conversions, saved color palettes, name picker settings, kindness idea history). This data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers. You can clear it any time via your browser settings.
GDPR & CCPA Notice
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing.
Because GratGPT does not collect or store personal data on its own servers, most data subject requests should be directed to the respective third-party services (Google AdSense, Google Analytics). For any other privacy concerns, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage when feasible.
